Two New Pluralsight Courses from AHEAD’s Automation Experts

We are excited to share that two of AHEAD’s resident automation experts have recently released courses for Pluralsight introducing VMware vRealize products–vRealize Orchestrator and vRealize Automation 7. Pluralsight is an on-demand technology learning platform that provides unmatched expertise, relevant tools, and thousands of courses created by industry pros. In these courses, AHEAD’s Nick Colyer, Practice Manager of Cloud Management and Automation, and Eric Shanks, Senior Solutions Architect, will walk you through an introduction to getting started and up-and-running with these products.

  1. vRealize Orchestrator (vRO) Course

Introduction to Workflow Development with VMware vRealize Orchestrator (vRO) is Nick Colyer’s first training course published to Pluralsight. This course will teach you how to develop orchestration workflows with vRO to automate manual tasks in your cloud and data center. The course will start with a basic overview of vRO and its components and will go on to discuss the approach to workflow design. Then, through the use of demonstrations from Nick, you’ll learn about coding with JavaScript and how to use JavaScript to create scriptable tasks and manipulate objects to develop actual workflows. Lastly, he’ll cover real-world examples and use cases of vRO, so you can begin creating workflows on your own!

Nick Colyer has over 16 years of experience in the IT Industry and currently leads the Cloud Management and Automation Practice at AHEAD. As the Practice Manager of Cloud Management and Automation, Nick focuses on emerging technologies and methodologies for helping customers intelligently manage their workloads on-premises and in the cloud.

  1.    vRealize Automation 7 Course

Getting Started with vRealize Automation 7 is a new Pluralsight course from Eric Shanks. As the name implies, this course will teach you how to use the popular cloud management platform from VMware–vRealize Automation (vRA)–so you can deploy your own workloads from an automated, self-service portal. The course will start with an introduction to vRA and its components, followed by the steps to install and configure vRA as well as infrastructure that will be used by your cloud management platform. Eric will end the course by teaching you how to create and request blueprints from the service catalog. Once complete, you’ll know how to perform an installation, configure authentication methods for the platform, and create blueprints.
